Passengers on board the passenger jet recorded their miracle escape from death after a horrific collision on the runway of Haneda airport in Tokyo. The JAL Airbus was engulfed in flames as it landed after colliding with a small coastguard plane. All 379 passengers and 12 crew on board the airliner survived the disaster. 5 people on the coastguard plane died in the accident. The small plane had been en route to deliver aid to victims of Japan’s earthquake in the country’s Nota peninsula. Shortly after the passenger jet was evacuated it was overcome by fire.
